yesterday night i had my first day of my first job...i was actuallly kinda fun working at a movie theater. I did everything you can thing of....from cleaning to cashiring (sp?) to making and getting food...it kept me really busy and i made 32 bucks doing it...not too bad...and i'm going back for another 32 on thursday.. today...at 9am i might add...i went to the training session for my new job in the new cinema complex in Millbury. It was really really boring, but the job itself and the movie theater seems really cool. The theater is a delux, one of only about 8 or 9 in the country and the only one in MA. tickets cost about 2.50 more but it's worth it...when you buy your ticket you can choose the seats that you want to sit in and then someone will bring you to them, there is a food court (movie theater food too of course) and a bar, there are 14 screens with stadium seating and all the seats are leather...that's right...leather seats. it seems really cool and i start on monday night! i absolutely love my school...we had about 60 kids fighting over which is more important: athletics or arts....i personally think that they are both equally important, but you should have seen some of these emails! people were saying the people in the arts don't work as hard as those in athletics and as a person who is in both, i think that is unfair and inaccurate. for the musical, we were at school for as long as, if not later than, the people in athletics...they are just as important to making out school what it is! out athletic assemblies that we have 3 times a year are deadly they are so long and boring, but we no longer have an assembly giving those in the arts any credit...that's all we ask for is equal credit in what we do...but as far as out school is concerned it seems, there is no such thing as arts, only the other too A's...athletics and academics...geesh.. i had the coolest weekend...i had three performances for the musical i was in, Ruddigore. It was soooo much fun! i got to be dumb, and ditzy...something that is the total opposite of who i really am (well, sort of...ask some of my friends and they might tell you something different...hehehe) and i totally got to faint...twice! i was seriously nervous though before i started on Friday night...almost so nervous i was going to bring up my dinner...but hey...by Sunday afternoon, i was totally cool and soo enjoying it...i mean, you meet some really cool people and spending every day with them for three months straight...you get really close to people and become friends with some that you never thought you would or could...it's just really laid back and a hell of a lot of fun..minus all the make-up for the performances though..that's stuff is disguisting and gives you so many zits! yuck... but moving on... on saturday, my family and i drove all the way out to Lincoln for a volunteer session at Lovelane, which is a theraputic riding center for kids with disabilities. it seemed sooo cool and i even got to lead around one of the horses, something that i haven't done since my parents made me quit riding when i went to a private school...tuition and lessons together were just too expensive...but i just really really miss it...oh well...but just the thought of helping kids and being around horses just seemed like the perfect thing to do...but the downside is it's so far away....about and hour...and with the prices of gas being so high (damn the govt and all the oil people), i don't want to have to do that to my parents every time i have to volunteer...i dunno what i'm going to do about it just yet....but then on Sunday...it was my 16th birthday!! yeah!! and it was the last day of the musical so it was a ton of fun...my entire family came that day and everybody loved it...when it was over *tear* everyone came back to my house for a little party...i didn't get that much for my birthday this year...and when i say not much i mean not much...all my parents got for me was a pair of earrings...my sister i think gave me one of the coolest (and biggest) presents...and then everyone else just got me either money, gift certificates, or jewelry...but i still haven't had my friend party yet so who knows...so now that i'm 16 i can get my permit and i did!! on tuesday afternoon! ( oh and back to the birthday and musical thing again...it's really cool cause i found out that Nandini's birthday is May 8th, mine is May 9th, Libby's is May 10th, and Alycia's is May 11th! cool huh?) back to driving...the test was wicked easy and that night, my dad let me drive all the way to Deangelo's which is on major roads...it was just sooo much fun!!hehehe but this afternoon i'm going to skip soccer practice (yes!! and i'm never ever going to sign up for soccer again....11 years is enough for me and it just takes up so much time!) and i'm going to go do some paperwork for my new job at the new cinema over in Millbury...i'm not quite sure yet if i'm going to like it but i guess we'll just have to see on Saturday when i go for my three hour training session in Showcase North. but i gotta go to gym now...yuck, but it's my last one so that's good...bye!
